One week since I last wrote in my journal.

This last week Shanna called from Cleveland Ohio where they have lived for the past 1 1/2 years, she said she would be moving to Modesto, California next week.  Jim has been there since September 12, 1983.

Loye, Roger and Jared have been working in Holbrook this week for Jim Hudgins.  Next week they will work out at the Chevelon Ranger Station, remodeling a house that had fire damage.  Sure hope they can have work to do all winter.

What a sad night it was Fri. Oct 21 when Snowflake Lobos met the Show Low Cougars in a football game at the Show Low and were beaten 14-7.  The first time in 10 yrs. (When Show Low started their own High School away from Snowflake) that Show Low has beat the Lobos.  Bobby Hall as we walked away from the game said "I guess it was inevitable, but why in my lifetime?"

We got home from the game about 10 p.m.  Jason and Cristina had gone with us.  Before the game we went to "Guayo's" and ate Mexican food.  When we got home Jason went right to bed and slept until 11 pm, then I woke him up so he could run in the "Midnight Run".  He rode out to the 4 mile bridge with Roger where he ran 3 miles.  Tara and Jared also ran the 3 miles.  Jared came in 5th in his division, Jason was 21st and Tara was 28th.  They got home about 1:30.

This morning we got up and went out to look for pinions.  We took Jason and Cristina.  We first went up to Decker wash and didn't find any so we went on down to Heber, where we found quite a few just off the highway before you get to Circle K.  We picked up 2  #3 cans of pinions besides eating our fill.  We ate lunch out there.

When we came home we hauled a load of trash up to the dump.  Rikki and Mandy went with us.  Later I went to Pioneer Market and bought a few groceries.  Loye watched the Sun Devils and Washington play football on T.V. but I went on to bed.  Jared and Josh are supposed to be at that game

Oct. 20 bought new whirlpool clothes dryer from gas co.
